Policy: Six Months Later — Navigating Change and Innovation in Child and Family Services

Online registration is available until: 9/23/2026

Six months after our March conversation with State Child Welfare Leaders, FFTA is bringing the group back together to hear how the work has unfolded. Since then, states have been navigating significant new developments, including the continued rollout of A Home for Every Child, new data dashboards and transparency tools, grant opportunities, funding incentives, and other federal efforts aimed at strengthening child welfare systems.

State leaders will share how these developments are taking shape in their states, where they are seeing progress, what challenges have emerged, and how priorities have evolved over the past six months. The conversation will also look ahead to what is on the horizon, including new opportunities for innovation, implementation, and partnership.

Attendees will come away with a timely view from state leaders on what these changes look like on the ground, lessons learned so far, and where states are headed next.
