Continuing Education
Family Focused Treatment Association (FFTA), #1659, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit.
FFTA maintains responsibility for the content of FFTA Webinars. ACE provider approval period: 4/10/2025 - 4/10/2028. Social workers completing FFTA Webinars that are approved for ACE Continuing Education Credits receive credit equal to the length of the session. For example, sessions that last an hour and a half are typically eligible for 1.5 credits. To receive a certificate for ACE credit hours - registrants must attend webinars in their entirety and complete an evaluation. Certificates will be available online once the evaluation is completed.
Most U.S. states and all Canadian provinces recognize ACE continuing education credits for social workers. Even when a social work board accepts courses offering ASWB ACE credit, licensees are responsible for determining whether courses meet the CE requirements in their jurisdictions. States and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether any individual course may be accepted for credit. New York does not accept ASWB ACE provider or course/conference approval.
