FFTA 16th Annual Public Policy Institute and TFC Advocacy Day
Family First Prevention Services Act & Treatment Family Care Aligned
Washington, DC ~ May 6-7, 2019

Registration is now open for the FFTA 16th Annual Public Policy Institute and Treatment Family Care Advocacy Day. Whether you are new to our Institute or an experienced veteran of FFTA’s prior Institutes, this year’s Institute is one you can’t afford to miss.
This year’s theme is “Family First Prevention Services Act and Treatment Family Care Aligned.” The Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) will have a significant impact on all areas of child welfare, including treatment foster care, kinship, prevention, congregate care and adoption. This legislation provides numerous opportunities for your agency to provide prevention, intervention and reunification services. There is a lot to learn and we will be at the Institute to help.
Our panels, presentations and discussions will provide you with the information you need to prepare your agency for what’s ahead in the implementation of FFPSA. Get the most up-to-date information on the Federal guidance for this legislation and learn from FFPSA implementation strategies that are currently underway across the country. You will return home with ideas for action to share with your public agency partners and inform their plans, as you work together to prepare for FFPSA implementation in your own state.
Our TFC Advocacy Day is always an exciting and professionally rewarding experience. We will meet with Members of Congress and their staffs to advocate for the children and families we serve and the treatment services they need. We will guide you through the process of setting up your appointments and preparing you for your meetings. Advocacy through face-to-face meetings is the most effective way to get your message across and only a small portion of child welfare professionals ever have the opportunity to walk the steps of Capitol Hill.
Another benefit of attending this event is meeting with other child welfare professionals from across the country who also understand the significance of public policy and the important responsibility we have of being a vocal advocate.
Don’t wait, secure your seat at the only national public policy event on treatment family care, and register today.

Registration Rates: $200 for member agency staff; $225 for non-members; $75 for foster parents.
