High Performance Management: Building a Change Competent Organization

As a leader, you are challenged to lead your organization through almost constant change. Regulations change, the workforce changes, financial pressure change, technology changes, and the understanding of best clinical practices change. Much of the current literature and resources focus on how to help you navigate through an episode of change, with the underlying assumption being that your organization can return to "normal" culture and process afterwards. The reality is that you need to lead your organization to thrive during constant change. After 30 years helping organizations through complex change, the speaker has distilled both a framework for managing complex change, as well as lessons that help build change competence into any organization.

This workshop will educate attendees on ways to build a culture that allows them to lead more effectively through change. We will examine hiring practices, training protocols, and decision-making frameworks that give organizations the best opportunity to thrive during a fast-paced world of constant change. The speaker will utilize an interactive discussion approach to the workshop along with power point and handouts that will provide a template for planning change management initiatives. The presentation will discuss practical, real world examples with the object of providing each participant with an immediately usable template to build change competency into their own organizations.

Learning Objectives:
1. To learn more about managing change within an organization.
2. What are the best practices to build change management competence in your team?
3. What framework is available to begin managing change immediately within the organization?
