A Toolbox for Increasing Employee Engagement and Decreasing Turnover

This workshop will assist participants in developing strategies to improve employee engagement and organizational outcomes. Participants will be provided with research and tools that are evidence-based and can be utilized to improve organizational engagement and well-being. Participants will develop an understanding of pro-active organizational strategies to support employees and promote practices that promote health, well-being, and resiliency in the workforce.
FFTA members will receive an invitation to register for this webinar. 

Learning Objectives:
1. Participants will recognize the impact of employee turnover on organizational outcomes and the corresponding research
2. Participants will develop organizational strategies for increasing employee engagement within the organization
3. Participants will leave the training with tools that can be utilized in their organization

Presenter: Mechele Pitt Shipman, BS, MSSW, LCSW, LICSW, Chief Executive Officer at Anu Family Services, has been working in the child welfare field since 1992. Mechele joined Anu Family Services in 2006 and most recently served as the Executive Director at Anu. Mechele has her Masters in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor’s degree in the area of Human Development and Family Living from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Mechele is currently completing a doctorate at the University of Southern California in Organizational Change and Leadership. Mechele is a Long Term Lecturer at the University of Madison Graduate School of Social Work and was an adjunct faculty member at the University of Wisconsin-Stout from 1999 to 2012.Mechele has taught graduate and undergraduate level courses in child development, individual and family counseling, cultural diversity, work, and family issues, and child and adolescent counseling. Mechele was a supervisor at Eau Claire County from 1999-2006. Mechele also has several years of experience working with youth in residential treatment and clinical experience doing in-home family therapy, as well as individual and group counseling with adolescents. Mechele is a Certified Strengths Coach and provides training and consultation in strength based supervision practices, permanence driven practice, promoting well-being in the workplace and grief, loss and trauma.

This live webinar has been approved for 1.25 Continuing Education hours. Family Focused Treatment Association (FFTA), ACE Approval # 1659, is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) Program. FFTA maintains responsibility for the program. ASWB Approval Period: 4/12/2018 - 4/12/2019. Social workers should contact their regulatory board to determine course approval for continuing education credits. Social workers participating in this course will receive 1.25 continuing education clock hours.
Every attendee who attends the entire webinar will receive a certificate of attendance. In order to receive a certificate for ACE credit hours - you must attend the entire webinar and also complete an evaluation once the webinar is finished
