Call for Micro Sessions
FFTA 35th Annual Conference on Treatment Family Care
August 4 & 5, 2021 ~ Virtual Event
The Family Focused Treatment Association (FFTA) is now accepting proposals to present at the FFTA 35th Annual Conference on Treatment Family Care, scheduled for August 4 & 5, 2021. This year’s conference will once again be virtual.
This year’s conference will once again be virtual. In addition to standard, educational workshops, which we are soliciting through the Call for Presentations, the FFTA Conference Committee is interested in receiving proposals for short, unique sessions
tailored to the virtual environment. Present a ten-minute speed session, or run a 20-minute networking session. Show off a special talent in a 10 to 20-minute entertainment session. Help us give a youth in your care a platform to show off a special
talent of their own. Bring some fun to the conference, or show off a fun and engaging therapeutic intervention that has helped your clients during quarantine.
We especially encourage voices from the field and those with lived experience, including parents of all types, youths, and those working on the frontlines of child welfare and behavioral health.
We’re looking for new, engaging, exciting and unique ways for attendees to learn, be inspired and have fun.
Some ideas to consider include:
Top Ten in Ten Minutes - Share your top ten tips on a topic area in ten minutes
Speed Networking – Utilize Zoom breakout rooms to facilitate a 20-minute speed networking session
Poster Session – Use a visual format to present a research-to-practice topic to attendees
Game Time – Have you had success playing games on zoom with family or clients? Enjoy a short session with attendees during the conference.
Creativity Corner with a Youth from Care – We know you serve youth with some incredible skills. Do any of your clients draw, write or express themselves in a unique way? Invite them to present at the conference!
Inspire Through Words, Art or Song - We encourage individuals or groups to share their artistic talents and expression to inspire and teach conference attendees through formats such as short story, poem, song, art work, etc.
Freestyle- Maybe you or someone you know have a new, creative way of learning virtually, which we haven’t thought of here. Share it with us.
