Successful Reunification with Treatment Foster Care:
Family Vistas and Home-based Treatment using Family Centered Treatment

Family Centered Treatment®; a NCSTN and evidence based model of home based treatment, and Family Vistas®; a best practice and evidenced informed treatment foster care, combine to successfully achieve reunification. The reunification process includes the effective merging of shared parenting and home based treatment components necessary for successful reunion. The training addresses components of successful reunion, process for honoring the family of origin, some typical barriers with practical tools to overcome them, and a process for engaging parent(s) and foster parents in the process.
FFTA members will receive an invitation to register for this webinar. 

Learning Objectives:
1. Participants will learn the critical components for successful reunion from out of home placements.
2. Participants will learn practice tools for coaching family of origin and foster parent(s) in their interaction/communication with their placed juvenile.
3. Participants will learn the components and how to guide “visits” to become part of the “change” process.
4. Participants will learn how to guide and coach both the family of origin parents and foster parents to develop the “parental alliance” needed by the multiple adult caregivers.

This live webinar has been approved for 1.25 Continuing Education hours. Family Focused Treatment Association (FFTA), ACE Approval # 1659, is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) Program. FFTA maintains responsibility for the program. ASWB Approval Period: 4/12/2018 - 4/12/2019. Social workers should contact their regulatory board to determine course approval for continuing education credits. Social workers participating in this course will receive 1.25 continuing education clock hours.
Every attendee who attends the entire webinar will receive a certificate of attendance. In order to receive a certificate for ACE credit hours - you must attend the entire webinar and also complete an evaluation once the webinar is finished
