Burnout and Employee Engagement in Social Services


Social work is hard work, but so is replacing the social workers that burnout too quickly. We share our successful tricks on reducing turn over and increasing employee engagement. We will share how we have taken business concepts on employee engagement and made them applicable to the social work world.

Presenters:
Alisa Otto , having worked in Social Services for 13 years, has developed a passion for employee engagement. Alisa has worked across Child Welfare, Refugee Services and Family Preservation in many capacities from direct worker to executive leadership. Seeing each aspect of the jobs, she has a unique perspective on what staff need to be engaged in their work.

Family Focused Treatment Association, #1659, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. FFTA maintains responsibility for this course. ACE provider approval period: 4/10/2019 - 4/10/2022. Social workers completing this course receive 1.25 general continuing education credits. Every attendee who attends the entire webinar will receive a certificate of attendance. In order to receive a certificate for ACE credit hours - you must attend the entire webinar and also complete an evaluation once the webinar is finished. You will be able to access your certificate online as soon as you complete the evaluation. Please check the map on the ASWB website for information on whether your state accepts ACE credit.
