April Webinar

Permanency Pact

FosterClub’s Permanency Pact is a tool for young people in foster care and supportive adults to work together to prepare for and increase permanence. Centered on healing and the importance of youth voice, the re-designed FosterClub Permanency Pact is a youth engagement tool with new features including conversation guides for supportive adults, a judicial bench card, a script for a permanency ceremony, and a youth workbook. By focusing on relational permanence, the Permanency Pact recognizes the relations and support a young person in foster care has as they move through adolescence and into adulthood.

FFTA members will receive an invitation to register for this webinar.

Learning Objectives:
As a result of participation in this webinar, participants will be able to:
1. Describe disparities in permanency outcomes for youth in foster care
2. Identify the key steps in preparing a young person for greater permanence
3. Describe how to use the permanency pact in practice with young people

Presented by Foster Club
FosterClub is the national network for young people in foster care. We lead the efforts of young people in and from foster care to become connected, educated, inspired and represented so they can realize their personal potential and contribute to a better life for their peers. Working with a network of more than 500 young leaders, we envision a day when every young person who experiences foster care has what they need to thrive. As a youth-powered organization, we elevate youth perspective to change the child welfare system.
