Kinship Treatment Family Care

A 8. How Family Focused Treatment Builds Capacity for Youth in Foster Care

Presented by Sue Evans, Walden Family Services, A Foster Care, Adoption and Youth Services Agency

Sunday, July 8, 2018, 1:30 P.M. - 3:00 P.M.

They are struggling to find solutions to ‘bring their children home’ while providing for their safety and treatment. This presentation supports FFTA’s Kinship Treatment Foster Care Initiative and highlights how one organization is improving their outcomes within a state that has changed regulations to enhance capacity in kinship and foster care.

Kinship provider roles and the challenges they face will be discussed as well as how to meet the need for adequate training, resources and best practices to support these placements.
