Program Standards for Treatment Foster Care
Revised, 2013

FFTA's Program Standards for Treatment Foster
Care have helped define the model and set parameters for the field. They are designed to
assist agencies in the development of quality Treatment Foster Care services for children and families. Since its landmark publication in 1991,
the Standards have influenced child welfare and
child behavioral health practices and provide important guidance for service providers, public
child welfare licensing and contracting authorities, and accrediting bodies throughout North America
and around the world.

The 4th Edition, published in 2013, reflects a new understanding of key components of treatment foster care practice and service delivery, while honoring the time-tested wisdom.
