Research Committee
The FFTA Research Committee enhances the exchange between research, practice and program administration. Regular activities include the publication of a series of Research Annotations, and coordination of a research track at the annual conference. Recent accomplishments include the release of an Evidence-based Practice Resource Guide and Research Briefs on " Evidence-based Practice in Foster Parent Training and Support: Implications for Treatment Foster Care Providers " and " Involving Foster Parents in Permanency Planning for Adolescents in Treatment Foster Care: Evidence-based Practices .
The Research Committee has also released a guide on Measuring Consumer Satisfaction in Treatment Foster Care. This year the committee is working on a compilation of practice models being used in the field and a survival guide on systemic changes that impact TFC providers.
The Research Committee's membership is diverse and comprised of TFC researchers, evaluators, educators, clinicians, direct service practitioners, and other individuals interested in applying research to practice. The committee meets once a month by conference call and in-person at the FFTA Annual Conference on Treatment Foster Care. We are seeking new committee members who are interested in networking with other TFC professionals and contributing to these important projects. If you are interested in serving on the FFTA Research Committee, send an email to: mcole@ffta.org .
