Working With Elected Officials

Working with elected officials can be exciting, rewarding and challenging…all at the same time. It is not an arena we studied for in school, particularly those of us who studied in the social service field. More and more however, it is important to let elected officials know about the vital work done in communities on behalf of challenged/challenging children and families. They hold some keys to opportunities and funding needed for services. We have put together some basics to get you started in your advocacy efforts!
