Child Welfare Financing     Levels of Care

Current Issues

The FFTA Public Policy Committee continuously monitors legislative and policy issues that impact Treatment Foster Care agencies and the children and families that we serve. Currently, the committee is surveying FFTA members on the uses of Levels of Care and Performance-based Contracting in their states. It is also closely monitoring the various child welfare financing proposals and recommendations that are being put forth.

FFTA is interested in supporting policy issues on a local level as well. Through the FFTA Rapid Response Initiative, FFTA can support position statements and advocacy efforts on issues impacting members at a state or county level. More information on the Rapid Response Initiative - - a members-only service, can be found on the Members-Only section.

The Current Issues section of this site will evolve as new legislative and policy initiatives surface. Check back here from time-to-time to see what we’re monitoring.
