Consider writing an article….

Is there an issue that you’ve recently researched that other members would find beneficial? Have you noticed a trend that seems to be permeating the field? Has your agency recently implemented a new model, intervention, or strategy that you would like to share with your colleagues? Consider writing an article about it for the FOCUS newsletter.

You say you’re not a writer, English composition wasn’t your favorite subject in high school – don’t worry; the staff at FFTA can help! Contact us with your idea or a rough outline, and we’ll assist you in writing a detailed, informative, and impressive article for our quarterly newsletter. Who better than you, to provide us with article ideas for what you and your colleagues would like to see printed in our member newsletter.

Article criteria includes the following:

1. Articles should pertain to the issue’s theme and be applicable to Treatment Foster Care. Upcoming themes and article deadlines.
2. Article Length: 800 to 1,200 words.
3. Articles should pertain to TFC college-educated professionals with over 5 years of work experience. Articles should also be supplemented with factual, statistical, or technical data that can be easily interpreted and applied to assist TFC professionals to be more efficient or effective in their daily responsibilities.
4. Articles will be edited for grammar, clarity, and length.
5. Authors are welcome to submit photographs (electronic versions only).
6. Authors are asked to provide a one sentence biographical statement for the Editor’s Note (for example, John Smith is the Executive Director of the ABC Treatment Foster Care Agency in Boise, Idaho).
7. Submission of articles in electronic format is preferred.
